Hello Friends.
It’s Tuesday and that means it’s time for another recipe.
Before we go any further, can I ask a HUGE favor from you all? I am trying to break into the printable world and my daughter came up with the idea of having two weeks out of the month for printables and two weeks with recipes! Would you mind telling me what you would like to see here besides DIY projects or would you like to just see DIY’s? Please let me know what would make you want to open this newsletter each week! Thank you so much!
Today I am making the BLT. Very basic and I’m sure you all have made them once or twice.
I start with my bacon bits here. Then it’s your standard ingredients of bread, mayo, lettuce, and tomato.
Toast your choice of bread. I used cracked wheat. Butter your toast and then add mayo or miracle whip if you would like. Add your bacon, lettuce, and diced or sliced tomatoes.
You can come up with so many ways to make this sandwich. I am not a fan of tomatoes, so I skip the tomatoes and lettuce and fry an egg and eat it that way. Sometimes I just have bacon and lettuce.
The other night when we made these, my daughter made hers an open-faced sandwich with toast, fried egg, sun-dried tomatoes, bacon, and shredded parmesan cheese. That is the picture down below. She loved it!
Here are my acronyms for the variations I make, lol.
BLT = Bacon, lettuce & tomato. BE = Bacon and egg. BL = Bacon & lettuce. BLTH = Bacon, lettuce, tomato & ham. BHE = Bacon, ham & egg. BLTHE & A = Bacon, lettuce, tomato, ham, egg and avacodo. Last but not least is a BESDT&P = Bacon, egg, sun dried tomato & parmesan cheese.
Try different breads and/or add mustard or another fave condiment. I’m sure there are so many various combos out there. Who would have thought to put parmesan cheese or sun-dried tomatoes on a BLT?
BLT Sandwich
Ingredients
- 4-5 pieces bacon
- 1/2 tomato, diced
- 1 lettuce leaf
- 1/2-1 Tbsp. mayonaisse or desired amount
- butter for your toast desired amount
Notes
This sandwich is fast and simple to make, especially if the bacon is fried in advance.
No right or wrong answer. Make it tasty for you and your family.
You can make it for lunch or dinner and pair it with veggies, fruit, soup, or tater tots!
I hope I have given you some ideas on how to make a bacon sandwich!
Do you like BLT’s?
Do you add something different than what is listed above?
Let me know in the comment section.
Be back Saturday with a DIY.

Such a great comfort food, Cheryl! I have an egg, avocado, arugula (instead of lettuce), tomato, and veggie bacon sandwich at least once a week for breakfast. I’ve never tried it on cracked wheat bread though so I’ll definitely give that a shot. As far as printables go – a grocery list printable would be fun! Hope you’re having a fabulous day, CoCo

That does sound good, well, except for the tomato lol. Great idea on the shopping list printable, I will see what I can do, and thank you so much for the idea! Have a great day too!
