Hi Friends.
What a hot, hot day! 116 degrees yesterday and it is supposed to be hotter today.
I don’t know if it is better to heat your house up cooking or bbq. We are eating lots of salads and sandwiches.
Last weekend, my daughter bought a salmon fillet and we cooked it on the grill. It wasn’t quite as hot as today is but hot enough.
If you like fish or salmon, give this recipe a try. It’s simple, tasty, and satisfying. You can add many different things for a side dish or salad and toasted bread for a nice simple meal. We had french-fried potatoes as a side dish. I will share that recipe next week.
Start with your salmon. My daughter chose sockeye salmon.
I pour avocado oil on both sides of the salmon, add your seasonings (I just sprinkle the seasonings over the top of the salmon. Didn’t season the side with the skin. Then you grill.
Can’t get any easier than that!
Sorry about the quality of the picture. Very hot when we did this and sunny!
As you can see, I put the skin side down to cook first. After 6 minutes we flipped and cooked a couple of minutes more and your done.
