Hey Friends.
I’m back with another super simple project!
Do any of you have one of these lying around?
It’s an old saw, which you can see, lol. On the top right of the wooden handle, it is cracked open. Years ago I had painted this saw in hopes of doing something amazing to it.
Today is that day!! Or actually, it was a couple of months ago. I’m finally posting it today!
I started by spray painting it many years ago and then left it. I pulled it out of my pile and decided that the handle needed to be glued. I let it dry overnight.
I have a ton of transfers I have been collecting and decided to add a rose to this saw, then you could hang it up if you wanted.
I used this transfer, Painterly Florals by IOD.
They are gorgeous! I love them. You can create just about any pattern you want with these and they come with stems too! As you can see in the picture above there are 8 – 12×16 sheets. There are sunflowers and lavender also included.
Check out the cutting board I made with the sunflower here.
So my saw was already primed to go.
I decided to add one flower and one stem.
Figure out where you want to place your flower and then pick the stem you want and repeat.
It is such a simple project and yet elevates this old saw up a notch.
I listed it on FB when I was done and it sold the first day! So if you have any of these saws laying around and you don’t know what to do with them, here is one idea.
The women that bought it asked if I had painted the rose onto the saw, that is how real it looks. I took that as a compliment!
You can’t get more simple than that people.
Some glue, an old saw, a transfer, and you’re set!
Have a wonderful day and I will see you back next Saturday!
Please Pin, it helps my blog grow!

Beautiful job. I have several saws inherited from my dad. Did you do anything to the teeth? Some of the saws are still rather sharp.

Thank you! The only thing I did Arlene was paint them. They still are sharp, I would not put them out around children. Thank you for stopping by, hope you do something with your dad’s saws!
