Hello Friends,
Today I was prepared to tell you I went through Surgery on Friday.
My husband and I took the 3 1/2 hour trek to Portland for pre-op on Thursday and surgery was scheduled for 5:30 on Friday. Thursday was a beautiful day, everything went great. Booked a hotel and found a restaurant that we enjoyed. Friday started out wrong and just continued to go downhill. I won’t go into detail but let’s just say that the surgery was canceled because I tested positive for Covid š I guess in a month or two they will reschedule the surgery.
I am taking the week off. Mentally I have had it! I will be working on a few projects and will hopefully be back next Saturday, the 20th.
Thank you for the support!
Thank you all for your understanding and we will see you next Saturday!

How are you, Cheryl? I was about to message you, but came here to check first and saw this. Are you having covid symptoms? What a crazy time you had! There is a video ad making it hard for me to comment here from my phone, fyi…..

Hi Liberty. Yes, it seems like it has been a battle with this cancer thing, lol! They can’t understand it, since I have already tested positive over a year ago. They seem to think it is from that because I have no symptoms, but they have to take precautions and reschedule the surgery! Thank you for stopping by. Sorry for the ads, not sure what that is about!
I have wondered once a person tests positive— when will they ever test negative? Could it be a never ending thing?? And I suppose you could have gotten it again…. ugh. But 10 days after the onset of symptoms you are supposed to be no longer contagious according to the CDC website…. (test results not being consulted….).
Keep us updated.
That’s the thing, I have no symptoms. But you’re right and it is frustrating! Both my husband and daughter tested negative. That is a good thing and my husband just got the vaccine, so hopefully, he won’t have to worry about it again. Thanks for the concern, I just keep plugin away, lol.
So sorry to read this, Cheryl! I know it must have been really frustrating and disappointing to mentally prepare for surgery only to have it go a completely different way than you expected once you got there. I’m so proud of you for taking some extra time off to regroup and give yourself some much-needed TLC. It’s so important! Sending you hugs your week goes much better this week and your surgery will be rescheduled soon. Hugs, CoCo
Thank you so much CoCo. You are the sweetest! I am doing much better and appreciate the hugs!
