Hello, Sweet Friends.
Today I am sharing with you a yummy sandwich.
My husband and I love this club sandwich and it is very simple to make. Maybe a little time-consuming but well worth the effort.
You are going to start cooking or frying your bacon. Today I went with baking it in the oven. It’s faster this way but you can use whatever method works for you. If you do go the oven route, you will want to put parchment paper on a baking sheet, lay your bacon out. Bake at 400 degrees. Start with 10 minutes baking time and then watch it carefully until it reaches your desired doneness.
Let your bacon cool. I chop ours up but you don’t have to.
Next, chop your tomatoes. I used Roma but use what you like to eat.
You can slice or chop your tomatoes. I find chopping is easier to eat in your sandwich but the little pieces fall out easier than they do when sliced.
Toast your bread. We used cracked wheat here. We have also used sourdough with great results. I also butter the toast at this point!
This is the order I put things on but remember to make it how you like it!
I start with the first piece of toast and add a little bit of Sweet Honey mustard.
Next, add your bacon. Pile it on as high as you can get it.
Add your tomatoes.
Add your next piece of toast and some mayo.
Add your turkey or chicken, and ham. We use this brand
And this one.
Use whatever lunchmeat works for your family.
Add more bacon.
Add your choice of cheese, we chose baby swiss.
Finally, add your lettuce if you want it. We skipped it.
Add mayo on your final piece of toast and you are ready to go.
I added toothpicks to hold it all together while I cut it up.
It makes a very tall sandwich.
Reminds me of the Dagwood Sandwiches.
I would like to also mention that I butter all of my toast but you do not have to do that step. I feel it just makes it taste a little richer.
