Hello Everybody.
We are back from vacation and it was very relaxing. We try and go every year. This year was full of food, walking the beach, and shopping.
About an hour and a half into our trip, we’re always greeted by Mt. Hood. (sorry about the quality of the pic, it was taken through our car window).

If you haven’t been to Cannon Beach, it’s located in the Pacific Northwest, about 90 minutes from Portland, Or., it’s a treat! There are galleries, specialty shops, boutiques, restaurants, breweries, and more. It is most famous for Haystack Rock but did you know that part of Twilight was filmed on Indian Beach in Ecola State Park in Cannon Beach?

We enjoy going to Haystack Rock during low tide. We go every time we are there.
The tide pools are full of unique and diverse wildlife. You can see starfish, anemones, and crabs. This time we saw an Opalescent Nudibranch for the first time, lol. (Thank you, Hayley, for identifying it for us)! We also saw a herd of Elk. Never been that close to an Elk before.

My husband tried to walk the Tillamook Head Trail but only got about 3 miles in and then turned back. It was his first time hiking it and he had hoped to see the ocean view but he was limited on time and turned back around. Very wet and muddy this time of year!

A fun picture my daughter took at the turn around in Seaside.

And one my husband took years ago further down the coast at Newport.

I hope you enjoyed the photos and I hope you are able to vacation on the Pacific Coast!
