It’s Easter weekend! It seems like it was Christmas just a minute ago!
Hello Friends and Family.
I’m not doing a DIY today. Today is just a recap of what has happened this week. I’m mentally exhausted friends. I have been working very little on projects this week.
On good news: My husband had been vaccinated through his job and my daughter and I are halfway there!
Also good news: I finally have a date for the surgery that was cancelled last month. It is set for April 23 at 5:30 in the morning. We still have to travel 3.5 hours for the surgery but I don’t have to have a covid test since I had covid twice before!
Need your prayers: Friday I spent 3 hours in ER with my daughter. For the last two weeks, she has been having issues with sciatica. She finally made the 45-minute trek to her chiropractor in the nearby city. For some reason, I felt they were doing more harm than good. The meds her doctor prescribed to her haven’t worked up to this point. We have been trying to help with messages but that is not working either. I did look her condition up online and convinced her to go to ER Friday. They gave her the same medication they gave her back at the beginning of December and that is not helping the pain either.
I ask for your prayers. She cannot stand, sit or lay down and is in so much pain. If you are a parent, you know how heartbreaking it is that you can’t do anything for them!
A CT scan showed she has disc space narrowing with posterior bony ridging off the endplates and a couple of disc bulges.
She has to wait until Monday to talk to her regular doctor because they are not open on Fridays. She then has to have her doc give a referral to see a neurologist. Who knows how long that will take!
And on a lighter note, can you believe there is a shortage of ink? I write our Sunday bulletin for the church and I haven’t been able to buy ink in our hometown nor in the city next to us! So frustrating!
Thank you for letting me vent on this Easter weekend! I am thankful for each and every one of you.
